Bardolino – joie de vivre and the pleasure of wine
On holiday at Lake Garda, a glass of sparkling Bardolino or Chiaretto is almost a matter of course. After all, the renowned wines are grown here directly. Bardolino is the neighbouring town of Lazise and enchants with its relaxed atmosphere.

- San Zeno: Chrurch from the Carolingian period
- Chiesa San Severo: The church from the 9th century is one of the most interesting medieval buildings on Lake Garda - located outside the old town.

- Wineries and oil mills: Inland there are numerous wineries and olive groves.
Bardolino is approx. 7 km north of the Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise. You can travel to Bardolino by boat from Lazise.
Garda – Namesake of the Lake
The former castle of Garda was so important in the Middle Ages that the lake at the foot of the castle was renamed Lake Garda and still bears this name today.
The bay of Garda enchants with the castle hill Rocca di Garda, the headland Punta San Vigilio and Monte Luppia. Cypress trees, olive trees and oleanders complete the idyllic picture. From the promenade you can watch the fishermen bringing their catch ashore.

Garda is only 10 km to the north of the Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise. Boats travel from Lazise to Garda.
Malcesine – Panoramic excursion destination
We recommend a cable car ride in Malcesine to Monte Baldo, from where you have an excellent view of Lake Garda. The landmark of the charming area is the Scaligero Castle, which Johann Wolfgang von Goethe visited on his trip to Italy.

- Museo Castello Scaligero: The museum in the Castello Scaligero palace informs about the nature at Monte Baldo, how the Venetian galleys came to Lake Garda and shows drawings by Goethe.
- Monte-Baldo cable car: The cable car takes you from Malcesine to the mountain station at an altitude of 1,700m.
- Monte Baldo: It is considered the garden of Europe thanks to the diverse flora on its crest.
Sirmione is approx. 38km from the Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise.
Peschiera – Water-rich fortress town
When strolling through Peschiera, the many canals are inevitably reminiscent of Venice. The old town is surrounded by a large star-shaped fortress built by the Venetians and the Austrians. And this in turn is surrounded by water. Peschiera went down in the history books, among other things, because here in the 19th century the Italian freedom fighters fought against the Austrians.
The city is part of the Lugana wine region and only 8 km away from the Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise.

Sirmione – One of the most beautiful moated castles in the wolrd
At the very south of Lake Garda, on a headland, lies the picturesque town of Sirmione with one of the most beautiful moated castles in Europe, which is the landmark of the city.
Attractions:
- Castello Scaligero: at the entrance to the old town. A drawbridge leads to the 13th century castle. From here you have a fantastic view of the old town and Lake Garda.
- "Caves of Catull": Ruins of a former manor where the Roman poet is said to have lived. Today a museum informs about the impressive complex.
- Thermal springs and limestone terraces at Lake Garda: They make Sirmione a health resort.
- Panoramaweg: A beautiful trail across the oeninsula. Directions
Sirmione is approx. 23 km away from the Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise. Boats also travel from Lazise to Sirmione.
The most beautiful places on the western shore of Lake Garda
- Limone sul Garda (approx. 65 km): Drive along the eastern shore via Malcesine and then to the north-western shore of Lake Garda, where the border between Austria and Italy once ran. The village of Limone stretches up the mountain and winding alleys run through the old town. The baroque cathedral dominates the cityscape. Above Limone, the lemon gardens invite you to take a romantic stroll. For the way back you can take the car ferry to Malcesine to combine the trip with a boat ride.
- Tremosine sul Garda (approx. 75 km):18 villages are enthroned above Lake Garda and the drive up to Pieve on the serpentines is worth a trip. Tremonise sul Garda is one of the most beautiful places in Italy. Tip: In summer, visit the Paradiso Hotel's panoramic terrace overlooking a breathtaking cliff to enjoy the fantastic view over an espresso.
- Gargnano (approx. 64 km): A picturesque village directly on the lake in the Alto Garda Bresciano Nature Park in the southwest of Lake Garda. Mussolini resided in Palazzo Feltrinelli. In the suburb of Bogliaco stands Palazzo Bettoni, which was built after the Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna. Since it is privately owned, it unfortunately can not be visited.
- Salò (approx. 45 km): The magnificent promenade of the town of Salò is a pleasant place to stroll. Also worth seeing: the art nouveau villa Laurin and the important cathedral Santa Maria Annunziata.
